Maria Clara was born on November 30th, 1797 in Paal and her baptism took place there on November 30th, 1797.¹²

Birth Notes

Maria Clara's father was Henricus Franciscus Remigius (Hendrik Frans Remi) Gaethofs and her mother was Susanna Vandergrasen (Vandergrazen). Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Michael Gaethofs and Anna Catharina Put. She had four brothers and a sister, named Pierre Jean Mathieu, Jean François, Joseph, Georgius and Marie Hélène. She was the oldest of the six children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Lodewijk , Pieter Joseph, Karel, Maria Theresia, Maria, Julianna and Zuster Begga. She died at the age of 66 on May 30th, 1864 in Paal.¹
