Felix Louis was born on September 12th, 1845 in Brussel.¹ Felix Louis' father was Charles Henri Louis Gaethoffs and his mother was Jeanna Maria Giellis. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Charles Gaethoffs and Therese Beatrix Boeckx. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Joannes Jacobus Ludovicus , Adrianus Franciscus, Maria Josepha, Rosalia Paulina, Rosalia Paulina, Elisabeth Josephine and Claire Henriette. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Charles Henri, Adolphe Jean Baptiste, Jacques Jean Baptiste, Catherine Josephine, Charlotte Josephine and SN. He died at 1 months old on October 13th, 1845 in Brussel.¹
