Elizabeth was born in 1876.  Elizabeth's father was John Johnstone and her mother was Mary Theresa Lyon Harkness.  Her paternal grandparents were Drew Bell and Elizabeth Johnstone; her maternal grandparents were James Harkness and Mary Stewart.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 32 in 1908.
