Hubertus  was born on August 29th, 1841 in Medemblik.1   Hubertus 's father was Rutger  Huibert  BROERS  and his mother was Henriette  Luhrs .  His paternal grandparents were Pieter  Rutgen  BROERS  and Neeltje  Lorentz . He had two brothers and a sister, named Frans , Herman  and Henriette .  He was the third oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Jaques , Elise  and Elisabeth .  He died at the age of 56 on October 27th, 1897 in 's Gravenhage.1
