Cornelius was born on December 1st, 1641 in Duffel.1   His godfather was Cornelius Eykmans and his godmother was Maria Broers. Cornelius' father was BROERS , Joannes  and his mother was Faes , Catharina .  His paternal grandparents are BROERS , Lucas  and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Gummara, Petrus , Petrus , Adriana  , Catharina , Maria , Catharina   and Elisabeth  .  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Maria.  He died at the age of 51 on November 24th, 1693 in Duffel.2
