Francis was born in 1702.  Francis' father was Ralph R. Jackson and his mother was Leah Neal or Williams.  His paternal grandparents were William Jackson and Rebecca.  He was the third of nine children.  He had seven brothers and a sister, named Ralph, William, Joseph, Thomas, Daniel, John, James and Elizabeth.
