Jack Dean was born in 1932.  Jack Dean's father was Ralph Macillus Gentry and his mother was Ruth Evelyn DeWolf.  His paternal grandparents were Winfred Gentry and Pearl Ethen Azbill.  He is the second of eleven children.  He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Winfred Leroy, Raymond Lee, Roy Irvin, Richard Paul, Keith Robert, Walter Ronald, James Gorden, Freeda Neva, Sheryl Kay and Connie Sue.
