Simon's father was Simon Foscue and his mother was Mary Asbell.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Asbell and Mary Martin.  He was the second of five children.  He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, Luke, John and Mary.  He died on March 31st, 1765.
