Richard was born in 1701.  Richard's father was Simon Foscue and his mother was Mary Asbell.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Asbell and Mary Martin.  He was the oldest of five children.  He had three brothers and a sister, named Simon, Luke, John and Mary.
