Amanda M. was born on August 28th, 1840.  Amanda M.'s father was Larkin Jones Bicknell and her mother was Celestine Marinda Hammons.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Bicknell and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick.  She was the third of eight children.  She had two brothers and five sisters, named Adolphus, Lee Alexander or Leander, Mary A., Asenith Caroline, Adelaide, Louise and Samantha.  She died at the age of 33 on November 3rd, 1873.
