Pierce was born in 1703.  Pierce's father was Martin Asbille and his mother was Hannah Pierce.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Asbell and Mary Martin; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Pierce Sr. and Mary.  He was the oldest of thirteen children.  He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Richard, George, James, John, William, Rachael, Susanna, Jean, Margaret, Hannah, Mary and Ann.  He died at the age of 57 in 1760.
