JOHN CASE

JOHN was born on July 25th, 1616. JOHN's father was JOHN CASE and his mother was RUTH JAMES. His paternal grandparents were WILLIAM SOLOMAN (ENGLAND) CASE and SUE (ENGLAND) RODICH; his maternal grandfather was THOMAS (ENGLAND) JAMES and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 86 on February 21st, 1703.

General Notes
- John Case, apparently born 1616 in Aylesham, England, fled from England with his father and two brothers in the time of King Charles and Oliver Cromwell. Later they joined the company of Pilgrims bound for America. His father died at sea; brother Thomas never married; so the early American Cases are descended from John or his brother William. (MORE LIKELY RICHARD OR HENRY)
  John Case settled first in Windsor, Conn. and moved in 1667 to Massacoe (now Simsbury) Conn. He was appointed constable for Massacoe on October 14, 1669 and was the first to hold that office. He married Sarah Spencer of Hartford Conn. about 1657.
