Willy was born in January 1937.  Willy's father was Willem Oxener and her mother was Bartje Brouwer.  Her paternal grandparents were Herman Christiaan Oxener and Gerritje van Veldhuizen; her maternal grandparents were Aart Brouwer and Truitje Pol. She had a brother and a sister, named Herman and Rienie.  She is the youngest of the three children.

Willy and Hendrik were married in a civil ceremony on August 22nd, 1959.  They have a son and three daughters, named Jan, Paulien, Renée and Marleen.
