Hendrik Jan was born on June 22nd, 1837 in Angerlo (Zevenaar). Hendrik Jan's father was (Johannes) Theodorus Worm and his mother was Willemiena / Willemina Wolf.  His paternal grandparents were Henricus Johannes /Joannes / Hendrik Jan Worm and Joanna / Jenneken Koning; his maternal grandparents were Joannes Henricus / Jan Hendrik Wolf and Joanna Bolders. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Gradus, Theodorus, Willem, Jacobus, Geesken, Worm and Cornelia.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 48 on January 1st, 1886 in Angerlo (Zevenaar).
