Gesina was born on April 24th, 1802 in Doesburg. Gesina's father was Henricus Johannes /Joannes / Hendrik Jan Worm and her mother was Joanna / Jenneken Koning.  Her paternal grandparents were Derk Jan Worm and Anneken / Joanna / Anna Jansen; her maternal grandparents were Jacob Koning and Gerharda / Geesken Jansen. She had a brother named (Johannes) Theodorus.  She was the younger of the two children.
