Aagje was born on July 15th, 1758.  Aagje's father was Pieter Jans Spaans / Spaens and her mother was Antje Dirksz (Lamberts) Nooreloos.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Pietersz Spaans / Spaens and Trijn / Trijntje Cornelis / Crelis / Krelisdr. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Cornelis, IJtje, Dirk, Dirk, Antje and Jannetje.  She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Claas, Trijntje, Lijsbeth / Lijsabeth, Grietje, Maartje and Trijntje.
