Geertje's father was Claes / Klaas  Eilander / Eylander  and his mother was Marij Pieters.  His paternal grandparents were Remment Claasz Eilander/Eylander and Geertje Dirks. He had three brothers and a sister, named Reinouw, Remment, Pieter and Sijtje. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Dirk, Cornelis, Klaas, Remment, Geertje and Reinouwtje / Meijnouw.  He died in November 1791.
