Grietje was born in 1748.1   Grietje's father was Jacob Beets and her mother was Treintje Dirks Slot.  Her maternal grandparents were Dirk Slot and Crelisje. She had four brothers named Jacob, Dirk, Pieter and Cornelis.  She died at the age of 55 on March 26th, 1803.1
