NN was born in January 1756 and his baptism took place on January 10th, 1756 in Opperdoes.  His godmother was Sijberig Joosten. NN's father was Joost Abrahamsz (Bart) and his mother was Alid / Alijt / Alida Pieters Mantel.  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Allertsz and Sijbrig (Sijbrecht) Joosten (Joostens / Joostes); his maternal grandparents were Pieter Mantel and Vrouw / Moeder. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Pieter, Dirk, Hermen, Abram / Abraham, Hermen, Sijmon, Sijmen and Sijbrig.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 68 on November 10th, 1824.
