Janna was born on November 27th, 1707.  Janna's father was Abraham Claapsink (Klaapsink / Langeler / Langele / Jasperse) and her mother was Janna Langeler.  Her paternal grandfather was Jasper Cornelis Klaapsink; her maternal grandparents were Gerrit / Garrit Hendriksz Litz (op 't Langele) and Engele Hendricks Herinck / Herink. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Gerrit / Garrit, Harmen, Harmen, Abraham, Jasper, Henrik, Jacomina, Hendersken and Jasperina.  She was the second oldest of the ten children.
