Jenneken was born on August 10th, 1721.  Jenneken's father was Jan Nieuwenhuijs and her mother was Trijntje / Trijntjen. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Willem, Jan Derk, Willem, Antoni, Wendel, Gerrit, Henrick, Elisabeth, Jenneken, Maria and Maria.  Antoni and Jenneken were twins.
