Peter was born in 1765.  Peter's father was Willem (Janssen) Hissinck and his mother was Geertjen / Gerritje Wessels Priesterink.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Peters Hissinck and Maria Willemsen Enserink; his maternal grandparents were Wessel Priesterink and Aaltjen. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Wessel, Hendrik, Garrit Jan, Jan, Johanna (Janna), Maria|mina, Peterken and Aaltjen.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 62 in 1827.
