Aaltien was born on August 25th, 1667.  Aaltien's father was Jan Beutink and her mother was Trijne Rengelink.  Her paternal grandparents were Arend Buitink and Vrouw / Moeder; her maternal grandparents were Steuris Rengelinck and Vrouw / Moeder. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Fredrick, Jan, Teunis, Arend, Wessel, Gerdruth, Griete, Geertgen and Lijsken.  She was the youngest of the ten children.
