Arent was born in 1658.  Arent's father was Berent Sarinck and his mother was Enneken Stapelbroecks.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Sarink and Vrouw / Moeder; his maternal grandparents were Henrick Stapelbroeck and Vrouw / Moeder. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Henrick, Steven, NN and Enneken.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
