Geesje was born on December 27th, 1827.  Geesje's father was Pieter Woutersz  van Hesseling(en) and her mother was Pleuntje Butter.  Her paternal grandparents were Wouter / Wolter Pietersz van Hesseling(e) and Riemke / Rimpje / Rinske Jans Das; her maternal grandparents were Arend Butter and Engeltje Krook. She had a brother and four sisters, named Pieter, Remmetje, Engeltje, Susanna and Aaltje.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at just 8 days old on January 4th, 1828 in Wormerveer.1
