Michiel was born on October 20th, 1724 in Haarlem.1  Michiel's father was Pieter Jansz de Nobel and his mother was Fijtje Michiels.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Abrahamsz de Nobel and Wilmijntje Jans. He had four brothers and a sister, named Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Phillipus and Willemijntje.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 54 on October 24th, 1778 in Haarlem.1
