Kniertje was born in January 1914.  Kniertje's father was Cornelis Visser and her mother was Kniertje Dekker.  Her paternal grandparents were Willem Visser and Cornelia Zwart; her maternal grandparents were Jan Dekker and Marijtje Stam. She had six sisters named Maria, Cornelia, Aafje, Willemina, Willemina and Dirkje (Dit).  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died at 1 months old on February 13th, 1914 in Egmond aan Zee.1
