Aechje was born on June 1st, 1633.  Aechje's father was Jan Pietersz Spaender and her mother was Angenietje (Niesje)  Eustatius Manglerius.  Her maternal grandparents were Eustatius / Eustachius Manglerius (Manglierius) and Willemijntje / Wyllemiken / Willemijntgen Francois Behages / Behagels. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Pieter, Frederik / Frederick, Frans, Aegje, Frans , Willemtje and Guertje.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.
