Sara was born on February 26th, 1654 in Utrecht.1  Sara's father was Joan / Joannes / Johannes Snep and her mother was Cathalijna / Cathalijntjen van Schulperoord.  Her paternal grandparents were Christiaen Snep (Snip) and Elysabeth / Elisabet van Geyn (Geijn, Gehiem); her maternal grandparents were Borward van Schulperoort and Vrouw / Moeder. She had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Nicolaes, Abraham, Johannes, Anna , Dina / Digna, Jannitje and NN.
