Jan was born on December 30th, 1725.  Jan's father was Dirk  Klaasz Ruijter and her mother was Trijntje Aarnouts / Aarjans. She had a brother and two sisters, named Aarnout, Antje and Sijmen.  Jan and Sijmen were twins.
