Magdalena's father was Abraham / Abram Jans van Plukke (Van Pluck) and her mother was Susanna Josephs van Buuren.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Nataniels van Buuren / Bueren / Buere and Marijtje / Maria du / de Pon / Pong. She had a brother and five sisters, named Abraham, Catrina / Catharina / Kaatje, Johanna, Marijtje, Jannetje and Jannetje.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
