Dirk was born on February 1st, 1711 in Kwadijk.  Dirk's father was Claes. Pieterz Olij and his mother was Aafje Sijmons. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Pieter, Sijmen, Dirk, Maartje, Maartje and Maritje.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died on February 1st, 1711 in Kwadijk.
