Pieter was born in October 1787 in Leiden and his baptism took place there on October 14th, 1787. Pieter's father was Hendrik / Henri de / le Nobel (le Noble) and his mother was Johanna / Anna Vindekleet / Vin de Klé / Vindekleed.  His paternal grandparents were Pieter / Pierre de Nobel (le Noble) and Catrina / Catharina / Kaatje Plukke. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Paulus, Hendrik, Johanna, Hendrik, Paulus, Catrina, Pietertje and Elisabeth.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died in Haarlem.
