Vrederik was born on August 10th, 1755.  Vrederik's father was Pieter Langenberg and his mother was Marijtje Frederiks Haai (Heij / Heg).  His paternal grandparents were Teunis  Pietersz Langenberg and Claartje Tijsdr; his maternal grandparents were Frederik  N. and Maartje Evertsdr.. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Teunis , Jan, Frederik, Jacob, Jacob, Claas / Klaas, Crelis / Cornelis, Klaartjen, Maartje and Geertje / Guurtje.  He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Arijaan, Jacob , Arijaan, Antje and Lijsbeth.  He died at the age of 54 on March 10th, 1810.
