Jan was born on April 26th, 1811.  Jan's father was Dirk Dirks / Dirksen Visser and his mother was Trijntje Pieters Roos (de).  His paternal grandparents were Dirk Eeuwes and Joekje Dirks; his maternal grandparents were Pieter Kersjes and Tjeerdje Jans. He had a brother and two sisters, named Dirk, Joekje and Getje.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at 2 months old on July 4th, 1811.
