Stijntje was born on August 1st, 1822 in Wijde Wormer.  Stijntje's father was Ariaan / Arijan / Arie / Aarjan Huisman / Huijsman and her mother was Grietje Jacobsen van Neck / Nek.  Her paternal grandparents were Joost (Job) Huisman / Huijsman and Hillegond / Hilgond Ariaans Tuinman / Tuijnman; her maternal grandparents were Jacob Claasz van Neck / Nek and Steintje Claasd Booij / Booi/ Booy. She had a brother and two sisters, named Joost, Hillegond and Elizabet / Lijsbeth.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 84 on March 10th, 1907 in Alkmaar.1
