Jacob was born on November 20th, 1718.  Jacob's father was Pieter Klaasz Dekker and his mother was Sij (Zijtje / Sijtje?) Jacobs.  His paternal grandparents were Klaas Dekker and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Jan, Geertje , Mary and Aaltje.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died after 1762.
