Joost  was born on August 4th, 1803 and his baptism took place on August 20th, 1803.  Joost 's father was Abram / Abraham Joosten Bart and his mother was Lijsbet / Lijsbeth / Elizabeth Joosten Schuit.  His paternal grandparents were Joost Abrahamsz (Bart) and Alid / Alijt / Alida Pieters Mantel. He had two sisters named Crelisje and Dirkje.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had two half-sisters named Aaltje and Maertje / Maartje.  He died at the age of 57 on July 19th, 1861.
