Jan was born in 1810.  Jan's father was Jan Jansz Bart and his mother was Antje Dirksz Pijper.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Abramsz Bart and Dina Oortwijn. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Dirk, Aris, Dina, Anna, Trijntje and Trijntje.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 3 on July 11th, 1813.
