Jan was born on December 27th, 1767 in Watergang, Landsmeer.1   Jan's father was Hermannus Harmensz Abbring and her mother was Maritje / Maretje van Nek. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Herman, Cornelis, Trijntje, Jan and Annetje / Agnieje.  She was the third youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Pietje and Geertje.  She died before 1769.
