James, known as Jamie, was born on April 15th, 1984.  Jamie's father is Tad Martin and his mother is Brooke English.  His paternal grandparents are Raymond Gardner and Opal Cortlandt; his maternal grandparents were Edward English and Jane Dorbin.  Joseph Martin, Sr and Ruth Parker Martin are his grandparents through his father's adoption.  Peg English was his grandmother through his mother's adoption. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Damon, Kathy, Jenny, Laura and Laura.
