George Southerton

George was born on March 8th, 1798 in Aldingbourne, Sussex, Delaware, USA. George's father was William Southerton and his mother was Lucy Elliott. His paternal grandparents were Richard Southerton and Elizabeth Goodyer. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Henry, James, Thomas, Frances Ann, Emma and Sophia. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-sister named Priscilla. He died at the age of 83 in 1881 in Chichester, Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA.

General Notes
- Married Elizabeth Hersee on 14 December 1824 in Coldwaltham, Sussex. He was a tailor at Fittleworth.
  Other names for George was George Southenton and George Southestor. Elizabeth Hersee was born in November 1797 and died in March 1875.
