Francesca was born on May 19th, 1890 in Penna Sant'Andrea.  Francesca's father is Giovanni della Noce and her mother is Maria Domenica di Giannatale.  Her paternal grandparents are Giuseppe della Noce and Annantonia di Orazio; her maternal grandparents are Giovanni di Giannatale and Lucrezia di Berardo. She has three brothers and six sisters, named Luigi, Alfonso, Giuseppe, Gentilena, Eugenia, Giusta, Antonia, Gaetana and Gaetana.  She is the third youngest of the ten children.
