Colomba was born on September 1st, 1897 in Cermignano.  Colomba's father was Tito Violante and her mother was Maria del Cane.  Her paternal grandfather is Vincenzo Violante and her paternal grandmother was Domenica Alfonsi/Alonsi/D'Alonso/D'Alonzo/Alonzi/Lonza; her maternal grandparents are Donato del Cane and Clementina/Clemente de Matteis/di Matteo. She had five brothers and a sister, named Antonio, Domenico, Giuseppe, Donato, Giovanni and Clementina.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 94 on February 7th, 1992 in Arizona.
