Anna was born on January 1st, 1863 in Antanemuccio (Torricella Sicura).  Anna's father was Paolo Nicola Biocca and her mother was Chiara/Angela Chiara di Sante/de Santis.  Her paternal grandparents were Michele Biocca and Angela Maria Cocchi; her maternal grandfather was Basilio di Sante and her maternal grandmother is Annantonia/Anna Antonia di Marcello. She had two brothers and a sister, named Michele, Nicola/Niccola and Angela.  She is the youngest of the four children.
