Charles was born in 1885 in Bamford, Derbyshire, England.1 Charles' father was William Cupit SEELEY and his mother was Sarah Ann BARTON. His paternal grandparents were Richard SEELEY and Sarah CUPITT. He had a brother and a sister, named Percy and Edith. He was the oldest of the three known children.
