Ethel was born on August 10th, 1884 in Reeves Plains, SA.1 Ethel's father was William James PARHAM and her mother was Mary POINTON. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Silas PARHAM and Mary WHITE; her maternal grandparents were Jeremiah POINTON and Frances BROWN. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Edgar, Norman, Fanny, Hilda, Myrtle, Norah and Alice. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
