Anna was born on February 9th, 1886 in Murray Bridge, SA.1   Anna's father was Friederick Wilhelm JAENSCH and her mother was Mary Fredricke Augusta GERECKE. She had four brothers and four sisters, named George, Frederick, Albert, Carl, Dorothea, Rohda, Ida and Bertha.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.
