Albert was born on June 20th, 1888 in North Adelaide, SA.1   Albert's father was William BROOK and his mother was Martha BIGGS. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Ernest, Hurtle, Allen, Alice, Florence, Clara, Emily and Hilda.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.
