Anna Mathilde BARTEL

Anna was born on April 24th, 1879 in Government Well, SA.¹   Anna's father was Johann Gottlob BARTEL and her mother was Ernstine Louise KIEFEL.  Her paternal grandparents were Johann Gottlob BARTEL and Maria Elis BINDER; her maternal grandparents were Johann Gottlieb KIEFEL and Maria Helena. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named August, Gustav, Ernst, Paul, Herman, Johannes, Georg, Anna, Emma, Clara, Martha, Bertha, Helene and Amalie.  Anna and Amalie were twins.  She died at the age of 82 on March 7th, 1962 in Bow Hill, SA.  She was buried on March 9th, 1962 in Bow Hill, SA.^2 3
